Just some more updates. In these pandemic days it does not feel completely wrong to look back.
So, back again to December 2018. The Deer in Nara Park was finished just hours before the opening of the STENA foundation’s cultural scholarship exhibition at the Gothenburg Art Museum. When it was released from the loom I rolled it up, brought it with me on the Gothenburg train and finished the mounting at a table in the exhibition hall. When the museum’s brilliant technicians raised the tapestry (it is 3,25 meters high) I got to see the whole piece for the first time, in the correct vertical angle.
