yesterday afternoon was of great importance in many ways. Marianne Erikson, textile historian from Göteborg, has been my guest for a couple of days and it has been wonderful. She has such a great knowledge in the textile art field, both from a historical and a contemporary perspective. Marianne is also very generous with sharing this, it has been like a high level seminar for two days! And yesterday we went together to lovely Christinehof Castle in the beautiful Österlen, Skåne. It was the opening of the exhibition with Hans Krondahl‘s textile art. Hans was my Professor when I studied textile art and is also a friend of Marianne’s. I admire him very much and he has always been supporting and encouraging which means a LOT. He is now 84 and we didn’t think he would show up for the opening. But there he was! In a beautiful white silk shirt. It was great to see him. And the exhibition, which focused on his art practice from the period when he lived close to the castle, was very personal and well curated by Désirée Lennklo.
So, when you need to do something important this summer – go to Christinehof!
